Moreover, i guess the validity period in configuration part need to activate or do some modification.

Issue got resolved as the connection to content server was missing . 
Hi Edward, what I mean is from user side, not from configuration side.
You are correct, during setup, we do in DEV and testing and then go to production system. The same is true for content provider phrases, we load them in DEV and quality for test and finally if no problem, we do the upload in production enviroment.
But from actual user side, say hazcom users, MSDS authors, they only create new phrases in production, they won't do it in quality or DEV. So in order to keep the system consistent, we also need to export those phrases from production and upload to lower enviroments. It will benifit for future testing and development. That's why I say master data normally comes from production to testing system.

Hi Marie,
So you created class, VAT, characteristics, assigned characteristics to class. The you created phrases, phrase sets, and phrase set assignments. That's how I understood it.
After you created the VAT and saved, this action should have prompted the system to ask for a transport, so I guess you assigned one. In the next tep, you should create the appropriate table-based value assignments for your class and manually assign these entries to the very same transport. Then you bring the transport into Q.
The next step is to create a property tree that contains your new class. Export (NOT transport!) this tree and import it into Q via transaction CG35. This will bring the class, characteristics and their assignment into Q.
Later push the transport from Q to P followed by import of the same property tree.
For the phrases, unfortunately they cannot be transported. But you can export/import them including their assignments to phrase sets. The phrase sets themselves have to be set up manually in each system or you do it automatically in TR CGCZ.

Dear Experts,
As we know, we can delete the template from CG42 and then to delete it permanently we delete it via MCDOKDEL program.
Now, when we run the MCDOKDEL then it will show you all the deleted templates deleted by you and all other user.
if MCDOKDEL shows a list of say 15 templates and i wish to delete only 4 templates out of that list. can we do that? if yes how?

I have one question . I have done the steps and it looks good.
Now I have referenced the Material into this specification in material reference and also maintained the DGP1.
The issue I face is when I create the delivery and try to pick it doens allow me throwing a DG message ""Dangerous goods master record is not released""
I tried to go to DGPREL and the product is released. So not sure what step I am missing?

Hi Amol,
Balajee is right, the standard report MCDOKDEL is an all-or-nothing option. If you want to select the templates to be deleted you need to do some development.

I have the same understanding. I was aware that, there is no as such option but thought of re-confirming my knowledge in this expert forum.
But I feel, some time in future, SAP should provide this option in MCDOKDEL as technically it doesn't seems to be complex...which will give flexibility to delete our own templates or selective templates and not all

What you think of BOMBOS transfer? Is it used very commonly in EHS implementation?
I feel we need to have good and unique BOM data before we can use that function, but more often the production BOM is not like EHS composition and different plants have their own BOM alternatives. Please share your experience on this, thanks so much!

in our implementation we use a virtual plant which holds the reference BOM.
this unique BOM is then interfaced into EHS using BOMBOS for Product safety calculations.

I try to activate the BI content for EHSM and i get the following error.

Diagnosis
You have collected objects in the BI Metadata Repository. Associated objects for object of type have also been collected. Object 0CA_POC of type InfoArea was among these objects.
However, this object 0CA_POC of type InfoArea is not available in the metadata repository.
System Response
Object 0CA_POC of type InfoArea is ignored in further collections. The links for object of type are incomplete. This may result in you not being able to activate this object.
Procedure
If this error occurs while you are installing BI Content, an error may have occurred during the delivery. Inform SAP. In all other cases, check that the object has not been deleted by another user during collection, for example.

to which BOMBOS version do you refer? The use of BOMBOS can help; if indication of use of BOMBOS is based on questions coming up in this FORUM then it is used rarely.

PS: the topic you have raised is "real" live. And therefore by using SAP EHS you will find a solution. If the solution can be handled "simply" is a different topic (an it is quite common to have at least two BOMs per Plant)

1.) we can assume that SAP HANA might be used more and more and therefore the technical structure how to deal with "rule sets" might be different in the future; therefore: ma ybe in the future there wil be a different "rule engine" in place
2.) Back to the question": what is a "rule".. may be check the term: Business Rules Framework;; this is a different techniques used in other SAP modules to deal with "rules".
As mentioned. "Easy Expert" can only deal with very simple rules and very simple data constellations.
